So I found the bass and I can see them under the boat but no matter what I throw at them they won't bite! Its frustrating I tried everything in my tackle box. What lure and color should I try? thankyou for any advice.

Try a worm harness and slowly drag it on the bottom. As long as its moving, the bass can't seem to stay away form it. At the very least you will get some follows.

If you can see them they have already spotted you. Spooked/Weary bass are hard to catch. Try very long casts with crank baits Craw colour or Goby Colour.
What ever you use long casts are key on Simcoe for Smallies I find.

I've got a lot of confidence in a jig, a swim/casting jig to be specific. I like the line tie right at the tip of the nose to wiggle through grass. A craw(creature) or a paddle tail on the back do wonders. I like to mix it up when it comes to colours and I've caught em on the oddest combos.

Spybaiting.
what type of gear are you using for spybaiting (duo realis)? Spinning rig, 8lb test?
Spinning gear yes, but I run 10lbs braid and about a 6' lead of 4lbs fluorocarbon. Depending on the water body, there are times I will run just straight 4lbs fluorocarbon. You'll want a larger sized reel, say 3-4000 so that you can throw the bait a very long way as well.
It's an excellent presentation for both suspended and highly pressured fish in ultra clear water.
