I fish Balsam on a regular basis, and I can't believe the number of big ones I've seen this year. I don't target muskies as a rule, but they sure are nice to see as they swim near the boat. Nice catch!

Beauty,...makes sense to go deep for the big ones with things heating up temperature wise. I’ve caught big ones in summer at 50 feet while fishing for Lake Trout on Lake of the Woods and some inland lakes in northwestern Ontario. The big girls like down there in the cool water.
