Erie walleye with Dr.Shank, Great Outing

Once again had a blast on Erie . We limited out by 9 am the bite was definitely on today. We were actually breaking a swet with all the doubles and constant action. Fish were all caught on worm harnesses and crankbaits off dipsy divers in 70-77 foot of water . Had Dr.Shank remove a hook from my finger I guess it was my turn this time .

Now that was some hot fishing for sure...….air temp of 9 degrees and sweating by 7.30 am I had to keep my rods out of the water so I could have a smoke and coffee at one point, but could not do that for more than 6 minutes

yes, today. Dr. Shank had to remove a hook from buddy's thumb . that is 2 in 2 outings...bill in the mail ...but, again, not that painfull at all and you keep on fishing

You need to push it all the way through and then cut the barb off to remove the hook......or so I heard

big negative on that . that is painfull for sure.

you just grab some pliers, have the person sit still, put some pressure on side where hook went in and pull back slowly......20 seconds does it.

if patient is real squeamish , same process except you tell them to count to 3 and yank it anytime between 1 and 2.before they tighten up

no blood, well less than 1 drop and no pain 1 min later

I put a hook in my hand and pushed it all the way through and when I asked my buddy for the pliers he tells me ,after much searching, that the pliers are in another tackle box. When I asked him where the box was he said in the truck . I ended up backing the hook all the way out and doing what shank said; just pull it out on the count of two. Good advice Dr. Shank.

No it didn’t hurt much just a bit . I would put a hook in my finger for another day like that If you guys end up with hooks in the body just call Dr.Shank
