Hit the river today to fish for salmon and hope for a bonus rainbow. The river was running low which surprised me after yesterday's rain. Numbers of fish are down from last week but a few were active. Ended up 4 fer 7.
One particular fish surprised the hell out of me. A perfect chrome salmon (i think). I love catching fish in the 7-15lb range. I find they pull like heck and jump a bunch. Plus you dont have to chase them 100yds downstream. This fish did not disappoint with a few nice jumps. The particular stretch of river i fish has a lot of deeper pools which keeps the fight close.
Bows should be in soon hopefully.
