Cool videos fore sure. I know your contest is all in fun. That's great, I noticed something, and thought it might be helpful. You could take your measurement from the bottom of the ice to the water line, might be easier then trying to figure out the top ice which is pretty jagged. Just too clarify it's your contest and I just thought it might be a helpful suggestion. Good luck fishing tomorrow. liked and subscribed

I appreciate the suggestion, Idub. It shows me that you are really paying attention. The water line does give a more definite point of reference. The reports so far have been a "give or take" affair as far as precision goes. However, I will be bringing out some slightly more precision gear for the final measurement that I think will give a much clearer reference point for me to judge from. Stay tuned.
