So last year my then 7 year old took up ice fishing with me. He had been chomping at the bit the get out on the hard water since the cold weather has started. Well we finally made it out yesterday together. WOW what a day. We caught well over 70 perch and he did most of the damage. We kept about 20 good perch for a nice diner tonight. What a pleasure it is having my best buddy fishing with me all the time now..... can't wait till he is big enough to pull the gear though Going to be a fun year on the ice.

Took my 6yo son to Simcoe last year. Got a rental. Nick managed to pull in a few perch. He had a great time. For a $100 full day of one one time with the boy nothing beats it. Be great if he could come for my NYE 4 day back lake/nip trip (leaving tomorrow ) . Not ready for roughin it yet haha.. Hope everyone can get out for some fish over the holidays! Had to edit and add GREAT CATCHES!
