Hey everyone. Was thinking about staying at the West Arm Lodge for bass opening weekend (June 22-25). Anyone ever stayed there or have experience in the area? Have fished the French before and saw the Fish TV episode where they stayed at the West Arm Lodge and looked like they had great action but just unsure of the time of year they were there. Any information you guys have would be greatly appreciated!

Opening weekend is the best time to fish for bass there. Once the weeds choke the bays the bass are harder to find and catch. What type of bass are you fishing for largemouth or smallmouth?

Fishing for both hopefully. Wouldn't mind getting a couple of walleye for the breakfast pan either and heard the pike fishing is really good up there too. Hopefully they have some good tips up at the lodge when we get there. Have fished parts of the french before but never the west arm of nipissing. Looking forward to it!

West Bay is great for smallies and large-mouths both.

Find the smallies around the rock piles in as little as 2-6 feet of water at high noon.

The large mouths will be in the cabbage (South Muskrat is a great place to start) and in the lillies or the pencil reeds.

Lakair Lodge is located about 20 minutes from some of the very best bass fishing on Lake nIpissing.
