How is cook's bay lookin? Was thinking of making a scouting trip up there maybe mid january to see if I can GPS a few good spots for our trip.

Would prefer to bring the snowmobile so a good solid base is needed lol

Cool thanks for the report - was thinking maybe coming up Jan 12th weekend if I can make it with a buddy of mine.

Do some scouting around there - not sure the snowmobile will be supported on that ice by then but it could be!!

Would be nice to be able to move around a lot walking is lame

maybe the weekend after that or after that

Thanks for the good reports fellas!!
Keep em coming!

Lets see some pics of some nice perch and pike!!! lol

Im thinking by mid February there might be a couple of guys fishing on Cooks Bay. Just talk to the locals they'll point you in the right direction.

Mid february? lol would hope it's good long before then.

Good thing I booked the trip at the end of february - by the sound of it might have to wait until then to get the sled out there LOL

Ice sled is coming along though - box is mounted just have to get hinges for the lid, and paint it then complete the hitch

Can anyone point me in the right direction for somewhere to stay and go out of for Jan 18th weekend. Me and my wife will be walking and targeting perch. We normally go out late ice with taj at Casey’s but he’s booked. Any advice or thoughts on places to stay would be appreciated thanks guys

For cook's bay?

I reserved a nice little cottage right on the access road in Gilford beach - 180 bucks taxes in for 2 nights!!

Pretty sweet deal.

If that's the area you want check air BnB - the guy's name is COSME who I rented from.

This is of course, if you don't want/need a guide.
