Hi longfish thanks so much for your information and what I mean is I have a friend has a extra Eskimo propane lower unit(the 8 inches auger part) and he is going to give it to me. By looking at your picture and your auger is new from Eskimo and I think the bit for Eskimo propane auger is a little bit bigger than yours. Hopefully I am right and I will wait till I got the auger part and I will try to see it will fit the clam plate or not and I will Kee you posted. I am not a handy man and no tools to drill the hole for the adapter.

K....your welcome...thought you had a pistol grip.....the Clam plate uses a 5/8 inch shaft....your friends auger should fit it.
