Well today, new year's eve, the bay has finally iced over east to west and north past Rayners for the first time.
Huts are out at Glenwoods and a couple of 4 wheelers also about 5 or 6 hundred meters offshore.
Would not go out at Rayners yet as it was open water a couple days ago. By next weekend might get out the spud and auger to drill a few test holes to see how far out it is safe to walk.
If weather holds by mid month should be good to go.

I was in at Harry’s bait today. He has minnows and is getting ready for the season as well. He said people are fishing cooks bay at the south end.
