Spent last weekend up with Rob's with our group of 6. This is year number 6 for the group. The owners were great. They bought the biz from Rob and have the huts in the same general location. The were very responsive and took care of us. Great operator and we will go back next year.
Now for the fishing. Unfortunately it was the slowest we have ever seen. Between the 6 of us we only landed 3 fish - 2 walleye under size and one small pike. Also lost 2 walleye at the hole. The hut next door was about the same, maybe 2 or 3 more than us. We had 2 lines each in the water most of the time. Operator told us other huts were also very slow. I guess it was a very slow weekend for some reason. Regardless, we still had a good time, but a few more fish would have been nice.
Hoping next year will be better. We might try for earlier in the season.

Good times are always a guarantee.....good fishing is not.
I have done this trip for 26 years now and we still have our good years and we still have our not so good years. I gave up trying to figure out a pattern as to why, like shank said the getting away is a big part.

Just got back from a trip with Robs huts for 2 nights. Saw a good amount of fish on the camera but came away with 5 eyes (no keepers), 10 or so perch with a 13 incher in the mix, 1 pike (lost a monster at the hole, and a monster Cisco. great operator and Nikko takes care of ya well. just remember to pull up lines in the hut when you get the big one on.... that how we lost a huge pike. My big tip though is bring some 4-6 inch shiners too.
