A very long 2 weeks until I get up there, so I'll cling to any report or porn I can get. I feel like we are all going to have big years on the nip, guys! Fingers crossed.

Reeds is next to me as I was there before they changed their location. It was excellent 4-6 yrs back for perch but numbers have shrunk a lot each year. This year so far nothing bites until almost dark 4-5pm getting about 4 walleye but no keepers .Been out 3 times

Thanks Kenster. Appreciate the reply. I've noticed a perch dropoff the past few years as well and haven't had a keeper eye in a couple years. Always a great time obviously, but might have to consider a move to South Shore for next year. Cheers! and best of luck. We are there Jan 23-26. Pop by for a whiskey if ya like!

Hey Kenster, Is Reed's set up in the same spot as last year? Any idea what the depth is?

Pretty much, I believe its about 16ft but does seem a couple feet deeper than last year. I GPS'd the spot 6 years back when my runner broke towing my ice shack out to Perchville. I've been there ever since.First year Perch fishing was insane and dwindled each year since. Originally most shacks went to 35ft [3.5 miles out]where the rentals set up but cracks sent Reeds back where they are now.Of course most people follow Rentals as they figure they know best?

I will check it out tomorrow since I am playing hooky.[weekends have been too cold]Its about 1/4 mile from me and looks like its a few feet high. There is a flag but I'm guessing sleds only.
