thats all clear black ice. Hardly any snow on the ice at all. Where it looks white I think it is all pack jagged ice with snow mixed in from the waves pushing it against other packs of frozen ice.

The whole south shore has a ton of pack ice an rough ice from sibbles to roaches

No snow on the ice is good and bad.
Good for getting blue ice faster
Bad if you want to go with liquid cooled sled .
