Thinking about booking with them as my group has never gone out with them before (we like to try different operators and spread the wealth).

Looking at some of their sponsor/ad pages that state live bait is not provided with their ice hut rentals. Is there someone who can confirm? I would call them but my guys and I are trying to decide tonight who we want to book with.

Thanks,
c.

UUnless something has dramatically changed they provide more bait than you need. A lot of people who don't even use their huts buy bait from them.

Taj is a fantastic guy, he will provide the bait, saw someone earlier that posted the fishing was slow out of his huts on the weekend, keep in mind, it was the first weekend in operation, prior top that there was little ice to do any recon...

That being said I've fished his huts numerous times in the past, clean and warm, if you find the fishing slow try jigging a rattling bait or a large shiny spoon of some sort, it always works to bring fish in, for me anyway

This is good to hear. When I google'd them the first result is icehutslakesimcoe.com which seems to be their site and it says bait is not included under the daily ice hut rental rates.

Either way, we are going to book a day with them.

Was out for the first time with Taj last year with the fiancé. She loved it! Taj is a excellent individual and really pays attention to his clients. the hut was also in very good repair. You will have a great time with him.

Casey's Fish Huts is a great operator. Bait included, great restaurant and a first Class owner (Taj). Just show up with your rod and tackle and be ready for a good time

anyone can confirm that Taj has the huts on the ice yet?
I called twice but got the message voice (maybe they changed phone #?).

and if there was need for further confirmation, i've been with Taj consistently for past few years and bait was always included. good service, friendly person. i plan to bring my 4 year old along with my 11 year old this year (maybe the dog too? )

Have you gone outside to check the weather. Unless you have a permanent hut, flip overs or pop ups might become your ticket to a screaming ride across the ice.
