Lowrance Hook2 5 Splitshot, Screen freezing

Hello everyone... Has anyone had this problem with their screen stopping for a fraction of a second every few seconds? Or the screen completely freezing for about 10 or 15 seconds then come back on? I have tried every setting I could think of ,Ping speed, sonar speed ,high chirp,shut it off and turn on . This is a new unit used first time yesterday. If anyone could help me with this problem I would really appreciate it .Thanks and tight lines.

Once in a while ...like once every 4 or 5 outings my hook 4 will freeze up for 30 seconds then be fine. Hasnt been enough of an issue to look into yet.

Thanks for the reply . I don't mind the complete freezing of the screen as it happened once but the constant jerking of the speed of the screen is annoying. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the transducer. I put the sonar on demo and it runs fine.

the 4 doesnt handle chirp well imo .... I leave it on 200 all the time / fastest ping

I have the hook 4. It does it every now and then for 10 seconds to maybe 30 seconds. I wonder if the cold has something to do with it.

Yeah I run it on 200 but tried the chirp to see if it would stop the freezing.

I just bought the hook2 5 for this season better not freeze up or I’ll be on the phone to lowrance.

I have a Hook 4 that behaves erratically at times---2 weeks ago there was a minute or so delay in the signal. If i jigged my bait the movement would show up about a min later!!!???.I had to reboot to get rid of it.

Contact Lowrance. When I've called in the past their tech service has been very helpful.

Must be a common issue, iv got an older model Mark 4 chirp and it does the same

My Lowrance Elite-7ti does something similar though not too frequently. Once in a while the screen/display would complete freeeze, then I have to restart the unit. It's like it happens once a day, or once every other time I am out on the water. Must be some sort of common issue with the "L":-)
