Hey guys so today me and my wife ended up going to cooks bay out from Gifford beach. Moved around a bunch of times, tried plenty of different baits all seemed to work, except we caught 200 plus dink’s today ( all around 4-7 inch range) . We ended up keeping a few over 9 inches biggest only 11”. Just wondering how everyone else did or was it a dink fest as well. Any suggestions on where we should head out from tomorrow would be appreciated. Tight lines

Any reports out of Gilford? People on the blueicereport have been inconsistent (6"-8"), so I'm guessing the ice itself is inconsistent.

This was from an earlier post (Tuesday of this week):

"Freaky ice to walk on. First half dozen guys on the ice moved with "great respect". We found a spot straight out with 2" -- "

Ice was 3 - 4" nearer shore and 5 - 5.5" out a few 100 yards. All clear ice. It should be thicker now.

Good luck.

My wife and I were out between Gilford an Lefroy.
Solid 8" of ice.
We started in about 10' of water and kept moving till we hit roughly30'.
Didn't hit fish until the deeper water. Not sure if it was the depth or just the time of day... noon.
Regardless, caught about 75-80... Kept 3
Talked to a couple of other guys and they had about the same luck.
