Hello everyone,
I have just moved back to Brampton from the US and I just wanted to say thank you to the all the members of this forum for the interesting daily reports and pictures of fish.
I have searched a long time for a forum such as this with mainly Ontario fisherman and I am glad to have finally found it.
I have done some ice fishing before but was always with someone who had an idea of where to go. This year I would like to go out on my own as I am not available on the weekends when everyone else is unfortunately. As a result I am seeking some advice about where to go.
I am looking for advice about where is the best area to get on the ice and where to park. I have been reading up on the topics within the forum and have seen Gilford road seems to be pretty accessible but I didn't see anything about parking. Can anyone tell me if there is available parking?
Looking forward to posting pictures of any fish caught

Welcome to the forums. I am glad you found us... Nice intro.
I haven't fished Gilford in a few years and lots has changed, but there used to be road side parking as well. Drive down Gilford Road to the lake and see where everyone else is parking. Pay attention to intersections (need to park the proper distance away), pay attention to the No Parking signs, and I am not sure, but if it's snowing, the roadside might be iffy. They did build a nice parking lot as mentioned (paid parking). Someone can chime in with the rates.
