So far so good this year off DW Point. Been up the past three weekends. First of the three was by far the best. We were only there for Sat afternoon and Sunday morning after spending the morning pulling the shack out and setting up. My friend and I managed nearly 70 eyes in that time with 3 keepers between the 2 of us.
The past two weekends have been slower but to be expected with the silly weather we've had. No keepers for week #2. Good numbers of smaller fish. This past weekend was the slowest, I spent more time staying warm with the rye/fire/tv, but my friend managed two over the 18" this past Saturday night, with the 2nd coming at 1245am and weighing in just over 7 pounds. That one went back. The other one came near 11pm and that one went to the fryer. Prior to that, the day was very slow with exception of a flurry around 4pm that only lasted about 1/2 hour.
No real secrets on what we use, I honestly don't think the fish care that much as long as you've got a minnow on a hook. I never overthink it, just usually a buckshot/minnow and that's it. We're sitting in about 20FOW right now, won't be too much longer and we'll head out a little further.
One thing I have noticed is the real lack of perch I've seen. I've only gotten maybe 2 all season so far. I know I'm not in the ideal spot for them, but we're using to see many more than this. Still lots of time to see what happens.
Will add some pics once I get them to go through....

How about the cisco, lots reporting they are catching more this year than the previous couple of years? Funny that lots are reporting more perch and decent size ones as well but you say you find they are lacking with only two caught so far? Nipissing sure is a crazy lake to try and figure out.
We were up the 10th to the 13th and we caught more cisco and keeper perch this year then the past couple of years and the walleye seemed smaller this year than last year.

I fished a week straight this summer and caught loads of perch amongst loads of walleye. I was up on Nipp 10 days ago and we landed 130 walleye, a couple of pike and some cisco. Not one single perch. It just depends where your fishing. I was fishing completely different water than I was on in the summer. I did notice a fair bit of cisco action on the sonar. They would come in mid water column and then disappear just as quick. We did manage a few if we where quick to drop a small jigging spoon! Nice pics OP.
