Just wanted to contribute with an update for those that may be going to the lake soon or those trying to pass the time at work lol. Our group of 4 have been with Rob Hyatt for the past few years and we were just up this past Thursday morning to Sunday. Nick and Nikko have taken over and as mentioned from other members comments, their service in regards to attention to detail was top notch, both are great operators.

Now for the fishing...Thursday fishing was excellent, we landed just over 50 walleye , a small pike and a few Cisco's. The eyes were aggressive and we didn't have to work them much with the flashers, majority just smashed the baits. Small blue buckshot's (with rattle) and small blue forage minnow jigs with a high hook all tipped with minnows did majority of the damage. 2 of us stayed in and just outside the bungalow but myself and a buddy were mobile, fishing transition points and drop offs. No keepers but over a dozen chunky eyes just at the slot, I don't think I've measured and tried to stretch that many fish in a day lol. My buddy did hook into something big, had few nice runs, rod bent, line peeling but ended up breaking off. OPP and MNR were also out and were pleasant to deal with making sure licences, insurance/ ownership's (for ATVs/snowmobiles) were all in order.

Friday, we got up early and two of us were mobile again, it was a productive morning with a multitude of eyes (all under the slot). By the afternoon the winds picked up and temps started to drop so we packed up and went back to the bungalow. We only managed 3 eyes all under the slot and another small pike that evening. Saturday we didn't even attempt to head out of the bungalow...We only managed 2 smaller eyes between 10-11am on a small hook and split shot with a 4lb floro lead. Fishing shut down for our group completely.

All in all, it was great times with friends and lots of laughs. For those heading on the lake soon, hopefully the weather warms up a bit and bring a heater for the out house lol....man it was cold.

Cheers and tight lines

My wife and I were out with Nick and Nico Saturday. The bite was tough for us also, some under slot walleye and some missed fished. The cold snap really sucked, but we were also really impressed with the operation, top notch for sure. My tip is try out the william whitefish half and half dimpled spoon, it was a good producer tipped with a shiner big or small, a couple walleyes smashed, after I worked them off bottom.

Thanks for the great report.. definitely passes the time at work while awaiting our annual trip. And our solution to the freezing outhouse is our own toilet seat.. leave it by the furnace and bring it out when nature calls. Hands down the most brilliant thing Slimzy10 has brought fishing.
