The perch were slow as heck last year. Then near the end they made an appearance. From reading reports this year they are spotty. You are either on them (and get quite a few) or you're not.
Re; walleye at night... it's not steady but pretty common. We almost always get some action around 9:30 for some reason. Last year we got nothing the 1st night, the 2nd we caught fish @ 8:30, 9:30, 10 & 11:30 before we passed out during a lull and woke up to stripped bait. We're early risers.. up around 6 and fish all day, so we never make into the wee morning hours. But bigger fish are somewhat common in the dead of night.
