I have an old cheap paddle I bought when I first got my yak to use temporarily while my good one came in the mail...I also have a couple old boat fenders I'm thinking of duct taping to the blades of the paddle and mounting it as a stabilizer or outrigger or whatever you want to call them. Anybody have any suggestions that don't involve buying and installing 2 scotty rod holders? My original thought was to zip tie or gear clamp to the tie down rings behind the seat but that means my height has to be perfect and is not adjustable to lift while paddling and drop to stand while casting... Maybe some sort of stepped wood block that rotates for different heights? Let's see and hear some ways to rig this up! Thanks in advance!
