Always an under looked perch fishery, as a kid growing up we used to fish the iron oar docks at the cement plant off picton harbour.
Only other perch I’ve seen that match simcoes, so many people target walleye and overlook a lot of great fishing opportunities. Like bowfin, go to big island in the summer and toss a top water. If the bass don’t get to it, the bowfin will lol

Yep caught some bowfin right off a big island dock BOQ has so much to offer, big cats, pike, world record sheeps, no telling what's on the end of the rod.
