@YRP
Police, fire and EMS responded to Lake Simcoe for a report that people or ice huts had fallen through the ice. At this stage we have found no one in distress and no signs that anything like this has occurred. We continue to check the area with Air2 and resources on the ground.

Heard fire truck sirens drive by at high speed, then my neighbor said something happened at Port Bolster on the ice. Now the news is saying it's only huts that fell in.

In my opinion it sounds like someone we would have formerly called retarded that we now call differently abled saw something that concerned them and unfortunately had access to a cell phone. Better safe then sorry but some off the 911 calls they get are to the point the caller should be questioned sometimes. Maybe they have never seen a 2 ton vehicle drive on 30 inches of ice before and just assumed it was going down!

My conspiracy believing relative, would say this is a hoax, put on by the authorities as a practice drill. With the dual purpose of reminding people to shut things down for the season. In this world of fake news, who knows maybe he's right.
