Did a bit better this time at Cook bay than at Willow a couple of days ago and in much shallower water although I was getting fish everywhere from 15 to 30. Lots of dinks but enough keepers to keep things interesting and ended up with 25 perch to take home (~10 between 10 and 11", 10 9" and the rest were between 8 and 9"). No complaints. Another beautiful day out. The bite was really good from 11-2 before that, lots of noisy ice. Access point was decent getting on at about 7:45am but definitely was worse when I came off at 2:30ish. Still plenty of ice but you can start to see alot more bubbles in the clear ice now. Walking was easy and only a tiny bit of slush on the way back in. Hoping for 1 or 2 more days before I end my season....it's been my longest since Dec. 11 on Chemong to start (would be cool to fish a day or two in April). Hope the colder temps for the weekend help preserve the access points just a bit longer.
