Finally convinced my father in law he would have a fantastic time perching with us and Lady Simcoe did not disappoint. We went off Beaverton near the Talbot river and the ice was solid, the crack was firm, the shoreline was tight, and the jumbos were plentiful. At least in the morning they were. Within seconds of getting his line in the water, he had his best ever, 13.75” jumbo. Pay no attention to the cranky old dude’s face in the pic. He was grinning like a boy when he caught all his fish today!

I think anyone would have had a great day with the weather like it was today and the fish you guys were able to get. It's always great when you have to convince someone to go and then you are on fish. I've had those days where you bring someone out promising fish and the fish don't help out. nice going. This year, I haven't promised anyone fish. It's been one of those seasons.
