Hi Everyone,

The winner of the infamous Nautrek Sportfishing / Michigan Stinger / Lake Simcoe Outdoors contest onthemoney was out today fishing with Longshank and myself. Weather looked iffy this morning with rain showers, but they ended just in time to leave the dock at 6am. It was cloudy and gloomy most of the day and fishing was a little tough. Fish were scattered at all depths, but of course Longshank figured out a system and we started catching fish. Onthemoney and his friend Vinnie were on fire landing all their fish. Longshank as usual was busy changing lures, setting up rods and netting fish. Even I the noodlehead admin caught fish on downrigger rods if you can believe it going 2 for 3. It was a fantastic day out on Lake Ontario, with good company and good fun!

I would like to thank Longshank for organizing this contest and being soooo patient as we tried to coordinate a date for all of us to get together.. An all around class act, hats off to you captain...

Thank-you also Onthemoney and Vinnie for coming out with us, it was a pleasure meeting you and sharing fishing adventures...

I hope everyone has a great weekend out there!
Cheers & Happy Fishing..
Jerry

PS: Before I fall asleep here are some pics from today's trip..
There will be more pics to come, once I receive the footage from onthemoney..

Pic 2: I took this pic for Bayliner.

Apparently this boat costs 1.3 million.
I don't know much about boat prices, but for starters, I assume it has a solid gold prop and a diamond studded steering wheel...

Pic4: I snuck a pic of Werner's Tackle Box.

I can't tell you which lure was the hot one, as I am sworn to secrecy.

Looks like a great day of fishing. If I ever decide to go big water fishing it definitely looks like Longshank is the guy to call.

It was a tough fishing day for sure a far as I Iwas concerned and the fish we did get were completely empty, although we crossed over scads of bait pods.

Weather held off until our return and then got a tad nasty, but it was so odd to only see 2 other boats out fishing today, being a Saturday.thanks the forecasters for that one

I could not have been out with a nicer group of people, so in the end it was a very successful day

Pleasure to meet you onthemoney and Vinnie!

Jerry, you are always welcome and I know you were tired.

The beauty of what I do is get the opportunity to meet and fish with people I have never met before and when it all works out it's a very memorable event.
That was the case today

I look forward to future encounters on other lakes on either soft or hard water!

Again, congratulations and it was a pleasure!

Final note...John, that is a Neptunas craft.built here locally and the begin at 750.00K (approx)

Like the pics and nice fish and it is nice to see that everybody had a good time, how deep is the water that you all were fishing in? And what types of fish were caught? (I shoud know but I don't) And I say there was 68 spoons in the bucket

Don't know how this will really help you, but from left to right.

RT, LT, RT, LT, RT, RT

As for depths,,,,we were in 78 to 230 FOW...caught fish from 4-85 feet down.

That's why it was tough.

Speed....2.1 - 3.4 with west tack being best due to currents

best lures were glow chicken wing, modified NK28, Moonshine super glow, mixed veggies...glow, green dophin Uv, and mass confusion
