World Record Trout Group: Moderators Posts: 10252 Member No.: 2 Joined: February 09, 2011	As many of you know, I usually put the ice fishing gear away early to do a crazy thing, called chasing steel.. You watch the rivers and then put on combat gear, wake up before first light, race to the pools and then jossel for position on that magic stretch. In short, getting too old for this... Cold, wet, standing in muddy frigid water, soar back and legs, etc etc.... but all the pain goes away when you hook up with that silver bullet, beautiful chrome steelhead. Anyway, been out a few times and battled with some nice ones, but pictures have been lacking, as most fish were released still in the water...lol Anyway here are a couple pics of the fish, spring 2019... World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 11352 Member No.: 118 Joined: February 11, 2011	I for one feel your pain , but we all do this why?, because it is all so worth it the scenery, the adrenaline surge on that insta hit / the battle, the admiration of a gorgeous fish and the satisfaction of a gentle release nothing like it

World Record Trout Group: Moderators Posts: 10252 Member No.: 2 Joined: February 09, 2011	Rivers have been high and muddy constantly, but timing is everything and went 1 for 2 on my last outing. Landed a nice big fat hen / chromer, approx 7-8 lbs. Released to spawn and make babies so I can continue to enjoy steelheading in the future... Here she is.. I think she's beautiful

A friend and I had this conversation on Sunday, standing in knee-deep water thinking, I have to get out of this water before I can’t feel my feet anymore, then the float goes down and your feet are instantly warm again
