Although I clicked in to check out pictures of the jumbos, I really enjoyed reading your great summary of a fisherman's year. Well done!

Got to expand your horizons a little Fork. I've had a few epic bass days wearing a poppy and the end of March is the best time of year to find one of these.

Absolute monster fish. Well done. As I said in my post though it's more of a problem for guys who live in the GTA. There are guys up north that can fish for rainbows right now and get them and go to Lakes like wherever you are for some monster Pike. I can tell from the lack of cottages at that lake it is not exactly a hop skip and jump away from the GTA. If I lived closer up north or maybe had more days off and didn't have two little ones running around out more and so I'm just stuck with the option of complaining about it and getting full of Envy for guys like you catching monsters like that lol again well done nice fish

Edit. Also I never said you can't catch bass in the late fall. I know guys who do really well during that time. I only said that me personally I have trouble finding them and don't enjoy that style of fishing anyways. Me fishing for bass I really enjoy the weeds and shallow dock areas. Trying to track them down in 30 feet of water with my fingertips freezing cold is not exactly enjoyable to me. However yes I realize you do get the odd good day. Actually I believe my profile picture here was caught in either late October or early November when we had a very late summer a few years ago

Thanks guys. I was just bustin chops Fork but that's a Muskoka pike. It's the first few weeks of April that usually get to me.

And if you can find largies in November they'll still eat the jig!

At least in November if the madness gets to you you can take to the bush and go shoot something to vent your fishing frustration!

Hahah I love the part about going to the fishing shows and buying a bunch of new equipment. Going home. Rigging them all up. Attach the lures. Look outside. See that it’s snowing.
