Who’s pulled their boat out?, Are you getting ready?

I have to back mine in the garage and it can be quite the challenge with only a ¾ inch on both sides..Then add some spectator's, oh boy..lol..a tip was given to me that I will pass on to you...
Get 2 2x2's ..6 to 8ft long. Or anything that will work to guide you in... Lay them outside the entrance of the garage to act as a guide.. This way you will know when your lined up and it will save your garage entrance and a lot less time pulling forward and backing up...

Thanks for the advice I'll have to try it.... at the end of the summer I am amazing.i dont even move the other car out of the drive way. Right now though... I just feel like everyone on the street is pointing and laughing at me lol

I have the same problem. "The standard" cookie cutter garage size doesnt leave alot of clearance on the sides at all. My trolling motor over hangs on one side and I've bashed it a few ti.es on the side of the garage.
Then inside my garage I've got the sides loaded with stuff and my boat only fits in the garage on an angle so....... very nervous racking lol.

I used to just push the boat in the garage by hand to make it easier but my drive way sinks a little each year and its almost impossible now to push it up the divet.
If anyone has any tips on how to tar a ramp for this I'm all ears

There is an incline and the driveway has settled so there a good drop when it comes out of the garage but a fence board layed at the base of the garage helps... When the boat comes out it's all I can do to stop it from getting too the road.. Boat,trailer, motor and gear is close to 2200 pounds.. Definitely can't push it into the garage myself.... Those long boards due help for sure..

My driveway have has settled more than yours. On the right side there's probably a 4in dip. I put rounded fire logs there because it's not even across the driveway but it's still annoying and I still need to bite the bullet and just asphalt a ramp myself until I'm able to pay for a new driveway all together

Finally pulled her out today... dirty as hell, but the new custom rag top enclosure is going to be a blast to use this season. Bimini will keep the gf from asking to leave because of the heat as well! Lol

Nicely modded for the boat to fully seat inside without getting in the way. Fall muskies... all the way to last day of the season. 👍

My Big Buddy heater is making the trip to the Kiwanis with me for opener ... no matter how cold it is outside... tropics and Tshirts in the boat.

haha you should see my driveway ... on that note pulled the boat out today tore all the wiring apart(motor would tilt )only to find two dead batteries (leads inside the boxes rotted off so no charging all winter )
new ultrex to put on so with the voltage change I'm rewiring the whole whole boat just to clean thing up should be a fun year

Just a reminder if u have a swing hitch the safety chain is before the swing by law and commonsense mine came wrong from dealer

Never heard of this before..
I've pulled off into rest stops that have had a safety blitz for vehicles and trailers twice and they never mentioned this to us... Would love to see this document as I couldn't find anything from the government on line..

I think your mistaken with this.

Theres regulations on how thick the chain needs to be and in what condition, but nothing about where its mounted (other than it needs to be connected to truck and trailer)

Common sense maybe, but not actual regulation or HTA law.

Was just looking at swing tongue trailers on line and see some are connected before the hinge and see some that are connected in front of the hinge...
Also contacted the seller where we purchased the boat and they have never heard of this...
Don't understand why the trailer manufacture would send them out like that. You would think they would know the requirements they need to obey...
Would like to here more on this..

Cops told me if hinge breaks off which they do .nothing is holding the trailer so really you don't have safety chains
