It looks real good. Has anyone tried it? The description says its a baitcasting reel but the picture is a spinning reel that I like. WTF? Do I trust it or move along?

Depends on your situation honestly...

If already have a set arsenal of rods and reels and you just want to test out a new reel then go for it. Let us know how it is too.

But if you are looking for a dependable reel that you will put hours on then I wouldn't risk it. There are far more reliable spinning reel brands/options out there for a comparable price or a few dollars more. Eg. Pflueger trion, pflueger president on sale, shimano sienna, mitchel 300

In the end of the day its up to you but personally I would stick with a reliable product if it is a reel that I intend on using.

cheers and tight lines!

I haven't and personally I don't buy reels not sold on tackle warehouse. I don't know anything about this brand but I do know about fake amazon reviews of companies and sister companies buying their own product and making their own employees give fake reviews. Anyway just wanted to make sure I do my due diligence making sure people know the risks. I do buy a LOT!! of reels of amazon and some great deals they had a lews mach 2 spinning reel for $45 last month I snagged.

Here's a pflueger president size 20 for $1 less with a damaged box (if the reel inside is scratched you can always send it back for free!)

https://www.amazon.ca/Pflueger-President-Sp...e-deals&sr=1-46

It's easy to prey on people when it comes to reels, should a high end spinning reel really costs $200-$300? probably not. It's easy to tell people I've made a $50 reel identical to a stradic with just not as much mark up, because people want to believe that, a few fake reviews and I'm a rich man selling junk.

I spend a lot of time on the water and I'm always trying to cut costs without ironically giving up a single thing. So I started learning how to buy everything at least 30% off I always aim for 50% though.

The biggest thing is knowledge understanding the market value of an item because the best sales never last long and you need to understand how much you're saving because 50% off high end proven reels don't last long.

Amazon is the best place to buy rods and reels..usually, very few tackle sellers can afford to take a massive hit or sell things at cost the way amazon does. I just cross reference everything to tackle warehouse then run the currency conversion to see how much I'm saving then make a decision. The other reason I cross reference to tackle warehouse is the people that do the reviews are often hardcore anglers that make the time I spend on the water seem modest or reasonable but anyway usually (not always) the reviews are from a lot more educated and dedicated fishermen and give great detail reports on products.
