What video editing software do you use, ?

Hey guys. What video editing software are you using or recommend? I downloaded a copy of Davinci Resolve 15 but it is way too powerful for my needs and has quite the learning curve. Basically designed for professionals, is a free download but requires 32GB of ram and an octacore processor. Mine is only 16GB of ram and a quad core processor. I'm just looking for something user friendly with some good effects.

I use Cyberlink Powerdirector. I found the UI easy to use and it has one of the fastest encoder of all video editing software. You can download a 30 day fully featured free trial version from here. If you like it you can purchase it for $59.99

I tried Davinci Resolve 15 which is definitely made for the professional. Even though it is a free software download it is way too feature packed and very hard to learn. Also tied Hitfilm which is another fairly good free editing software.

PowerDirector is an easy to use and very feature packed video editing software program. I'm trying the free download version and am having some very good success with it so far. Even the water mark on the free trial version isn't really an issue as it is just the program name on the bottom right of the screen after producing your video. Not right across the whole centre of your video. Will keep playing with it and when I produce something I feel worthy of an upload I will post it. Looking Like it might be the first open water outing as I think it'll be too late for posting Ice fishing adventures.

Has a lot of features but easy to use and plenty of tutorials available if you're confused with it.

Glad you liked PowerDirector. It is easy to use and one of the fastest encoding video editor for PC, actually faster encoding than Adobe Premiere. More than enough features for a video editing enthusiast.
