Garmin Striker 4 sonar +GPS

Yeah I saw the transducer and was afraid it wouldn't fit in the mounting spot on my kayak but I took it out for a dry fit at lunch and it just fits, so fortunately will be easier for me than if I were looking to swap it with my main lowrance on my Lund. Now I just have to get used to the fact that my kayak is going to have the shinier toy...

You might want to take 2 spots on the beach now so nobody bangs into er..lol.

I bought this one solely to change up the set up on the boat as finder is acting up and i can't have that..
It will be going on the transom, right in the area where the old one is..
Let's hope anyway because I've heard it the other way that these things can be difficult to install. Oh course depending on the boat..

So would you hate me if I told you I finished work at 4 and already have it all setup?

I have to take the whole side of the boat apart apparently but hoping to get lucky.. I counted about 40 screw's to be taken out and you know those will all come out perfectly... Lol

I wish it was a easy as a yak to hook it up and the only thing I would be mad at is no report tomorrow.. Lol

I thought about buying 1 but then I would need to spend over $100 on an iceducer. It sounds like the reg Xducer would be an awkward fit in a 6" hole. (The one on my Lowrance is)

Lots of room with a six inch hole... It is a great deal..

Gave her a go this morning. Worked well, nice and viewable in the sun. I liked the down view for reducing open water noise. Can't say how great the detail and target separation is as I never found any fish and I was in pretty shallow water without a lot of items of interest in the water.
