Does anyone know if the Holland River is ice free? Want to get my canoe in there for some spring crappies. TIA

Yes opened a bit . Drove by it two days ago.
South of the bridge it’s open

Water colour also looked good .

That could change with rain/snow in forecast

Drove by yesterday...

It is open, but I'm not sure how far south or north... but if you fish by the bridge you are good to go

Yes they are . Same fish staging at the mouth during ice season.
I don’t target them in simcoe. Other lakes more north that have better eating crappie imo

It was ok but no crappies for me, caught 2 catfish and thats it. Was nice to get out and hook some fish. Will try again.
