Sunday April 14 - Kayak Fishing Meet Up, Target Pike in Zone 17

I am heading out to Target some Pike this coming Sunday (April 14) in Zone 17.

Heading out with a few other Kayakers. If you want to join send me a PM and ill let you know our launch.

Winds look manageable on Sunday.

I doubt I can do this weekend, but I'd be really interested if someone could show me the ropes for some early season perch on Simcoe...Jackson's point or wherever they stack up.

If I can make it out this weekend or April 27/28 I'll let you know, I have a pretty nice warm up pike launch.

If I don't have much time I may do the nuke plant in April too.

No. The Forecast for Sunday got worse and worse with High Winds and Rain.
So buddy and I left the Kayak's at home and hit a few shore spots in search of some Suckers.
Fished until 1130am. Was dead calm and nice. As soon as we got to the car it started snowing / hailing. Was a good day. Made the most of it. Ill be out again soon.

Lots of places in Zone 17 are ice locked still for sure. There are also excellent PIKE areas with Open water. Just have to do some research. Look at the Zone 17 FMZ Maps in the Reg's. Be creative!
