Unattended fishing lines on Lake Muskoka have the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry seeking the public’s help to find the people responsible.

Leaving fishing lines unattended is a violation of the Ontario Fishery Regulations. If fishing lines sit unchecked, non-target and prohibited size fish can be caught and may spoil.

Conservation officers from the Parry Sound enforcement unit received information suggesting that some or all of the individuals in the above photos set and left fishing lines unattended overnight during the weekend of March 23 and 24 on the south end of Lake Muskoka near the town of Gravenhurst. Officers would like to identify these anglers so they may speak with them about their fishing trip.
