yup if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ….than it must be a duck. its more than likely to be a salmonid as anything thing else would be to rare or out of place to be a contender. Had that fish shown up in frenchmans bay I'd vote bowfin or walleye out on the shore of the open lake salmonid.

upon further inspection ... walleye only have one set of anal fins , bowfin have a rounded tail and a dorsal fin that extends to the tail the lateral line isn't always visible , salmon have a dorsal peduncle that i didn't see the first time around or may not be there if its a stocked fish , and they also two sets of anal fins which our mystery fish has so I'm gonna say this is a salmon of some sort by the size and colour of the mouth im going with coho
