I drove past there today and people were launching boats.
On the other hand there is still ice there in Smiths Bay and I could not see if you could get around the point into the narrows.
There was still ice on the Simcoe side of the narrows--maybe 400 yards from the bridge. Some boats were fishing tight to the ice.
If you do launch there and get around into the narrows and there is still ice out there on Simcoe--watch that it doesn't blow in and prevent you from getting back to the launch.

4 days ago off the 5th line of Innisfil there were 3ft rollers as far as the eye can see. Over night and its ice as far as the eye can see. Be careful out there.

Nice pic gentlemen! I am thinking by the time we reach this coming weekend, there would be no ice lwhatsoever left on Simcoe. Time to head out for some Simcoe perch, then, though I am just not sure where those jumbos are, like if I shall go shallow very shallow or go deeeeeeeeep.....
