What anchor set up are you using on your kayak? Trolley system used? I'm looking at a 3 pound fluke anchor, 4 feet of chain, 50 feet rope and carabiners to connect to kayak. Bucket to put it in. Thanks.

That seems like a lot of overkill personally. I use a 3lbs anchor (claw type that folds), and 50' of rope. I tuck it in one of my little small cubby's and tie off on a cleat that I installed on the side of the yak. Less weight and unwanted extras

I have a 7ft shallow water anchor that I use the most. For deeper water, I have a 3lb folding tied straight to line on a holder. I haven't put in an anchor trolley yet, so far I have just been routing the line through a carabiner hooked through the front handle on my kayak and keep the line holder pushed against the side of the kayak with my thigh or sit on it.

I use a small 3lb claw anchor. I have about 50' of rope that I wrapped around a length of pool noodle. If I get caught up I can quickly release the rope from the cleat and just throw the noodle overboard to be retrieved later.

I use a 5lb anchor with 200 ft rope (yes, 200 ft considering I kayak fish Simcoe deep water 100 to 120 fow for lake trout and lake whitefish), and I also have a DIY anchor trolley, and a SCOTTY anchor lock/mount....

I am new to this game....do not plan to fish in strong currents or big water for this summer so just went with a 1.5 lb anchor on an Anchor Wizard...which are too expensive but I picked up new on Ebay for $99 Cdn

I tried the 5lb kettlebell last year but found it just dragging along bottom in any wind or current so I ended up getting a 3lb folding claw type that I haven't rigged up yet as the last couple trips in my yak were under 4ft of water... For that I have a handle from a broken snow shovel I use like a power pole and lash it to my seat frame with a gear tie. Works amazing
