I was out on the river on thursday and the water was just startin to green up nicely. Well mother nature went and messed it up with all the rain today. I know the river i like to fish will be blown. So its the honey do list for me.

Anybody still heading out? I know it's tradition for a lot of people. Good luck if you make it out.

Just packing the truck. The creek I fish is blown right now but it clears quick. It crested just before midnight so hoping for a good afternoon.

Make sure the wife knows you're skipping opener to take care of chords lol. Good luck to those heading out.

It's snowing up here, no rush to get out for residents in this weather.

I made my annual pilgrimage out. Spent 5 hours out trying to land one. Rolled a few, but as soon as they went into the nasty part of the current they were gone. As a group we would always land upwards of 20 fish. But only two made it to shore this morning. No one dared wade into the river so it was shore fishing, looking for Eddie's and cover and they were holding TIGHT to cover so I went through my shore of hooks trying to get in it. First time in the 8 years of making it out for opener I have been skunked.

Still had a good time trying though.
