Just got myself into the kayak game looking for what’s the best rod holder to get and where to get them?

Depends on you and your kayak but i think the scotty rod tubes and the other baitcaster/spinning holders are popular. Don’t get the ones meant for salmon boats unless you have a specific need etc.

Whatever you do, use a leash or other tiedown. You don’t need to flip to lose gear, so tie it on!

I use a scotty rod holder that mounts on to the rail. Very easy to use and manageable on the water.
