hey all.

So for the most part the salmon fishing has been stellar

The weather though could sure use some improvement. As of last week, bite was hot and then we had that massive NE day , which just blew the water apart and next outing which was quite large with some 13 boats involved saw a very tough bite due to skinny water fishing. Add a virtual mine field of debris on the lake from small branches to telephone poles...ya real ones and we are dodging crap all day long.

past Saturday there were 3 tourneys going on and the morning saw all of the above plus some thick fog that lasted up till noon, but bite was great. Same on Sunday and on that day, the fish just vanished as we had ice water and ne or north again

finally found them again with limited time left, so am going to repeat that trip for an amazing crew

We really need some sw winds to reset the water and move that crap offshore

unfortunately it looks like Wednesday and Thursday will be a repeat of strong NE again, making Friday a tough fishing day again as we would have to go on search mode again

All in all, it's been fun so far except for 2 outings where I really had to work to find fish and then get them to commit

A little heat like yesterday is in order also

good luck out there and play safe

Doesn’t seem like the salmon can’t hide from you very long. Good luck out there.

Hey Shank. I got the boat in the water on Sunday for the first time.
The fog was nuts, just like the boats going full out in it.
Some people.
I’m glad it wasn’t just me. Could get a bite.
But it’s nice to have the boat floating again.
Cheers!

Oh for sure FF, Both Saturday and Sunday were nasty fog conditions....

If you went west.....which was good, Sunday was a mistake to go there as they had moved east.

the sun finally poked through when we packed up gear

Anyway , nice to hear you splashed the boat

I agree, very unstable weather this spring, if we can call this spring... It's only really feeling like it, the past few days...

Unstable changing weather conditions usually equals tough fishing, but finding the fish and figuring out the daily pattern is the fun part, and you never stop learning when it comes to fishing..

But of course, hooking up is the bonus prize and we all love it.. That's fishing!

Glad you are out there doing what you do best and been having some good times..

Cheers & thanks for the report.
