We will be at Memiquisit on the 29th. Just curious about the weeds and how they are shaping up and how is the water levels?

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,

The water is dropping nice but still about a foot more than normal and the weeds around my dock are starting to grow.

Walleye and Northern are starting to bite good.

Are you staying at the lodge?

Dave

Muskyhuntter, yes we will be staying at Memiquisit. We will get there this Saturday afternoon and be there till the 6th. Thank you for the information, my Son and a Friend are coming with me. It will be the first Canadian trip for both of them. I hope to get them on some good Northern's. I mainly fish Walleye and Northern second. I will be fishing Walleye, but I want to get them on some decent size Northern and catch some Pearch for a couple fish frys while we are there. Hopefully that will get them hooked.

I would agree, weed growth is coming in nicely, I have got a pile of pike in the last few days, tho no huge ones yet. water is much less ridiculous though another foot would be great, another 4 inches and my dock might actually be usable without getting wet feet. good walleye bite for sure. I am finding the bass a tough go personally

good luck!

Jeff,

Be ready for the bugs. Deer and horse flies are out in full force mixed in with skeeters to make it interesting.

My little cabin is about a 30 minute boat ride from the lodge so if get yourselves in a jack pot give me a pm.

I am sure you will do well. I would fish perch more towards the main lake as the West Arm perch can be wormy. It appears Musky are making a good come back down that way too, so be ready.

Tight lines.

Cheers,

Dave

always fish off shore for opener. do well for pike and pickerel, with bass- which are out of season
is the water still high and cold?
wondering if may still have luck this weekend.

thanks!
