Hi Folks,
All the stars finally aligned and I was able to get out for some fishing yesterday.
First off, the weatherman said it was going to be partly sunny and winds up to 20km, but he was wrong.. Morning was on point, but by noon the winds kicked up and the waves white capped.. Also some dark clouds came by, but lucky no rain. I had plans to fish some spots, but with the waves and wind, I had to fish in protected areas. Got nothing in all the less wind swept areas, plus everyone was fishing here, and did not see anyone hook up, including me...
Finally around 3 pm, I decided to give my original spots a go, wind and all.. Had to work really hard to stay positioned out there, but it paid off. Found some bass and had a few decent hookups. Biggest fish was a 3.9 lb largie, with a few 2 lbers to round out the day..
Brutal getting the boat out with a terrible cross wind at the ramp..
But I managed, after some sweat and almost tears... LOL..
All and all a decent outing.. Hoping to get out again soon!
Cheers & happy fishing.
