Lake O Rookie, From Mississauga now...Will Dipsys work?

First time on Lake O out of Port Credit this week-end.
I'm wondering if Dipsys get me down far enough or is a downrigger (which I don't have) the only option?

Dipsy is more then enough. Last time I went to Bronte, not to far from credit. I caught 4 on dipsy and lost one on downrigger and one on leadcore. Soon they will start to stagger at the mouth and you will need to go down only 30-40 feet when that happen.

Last time I was fishing in 160feet and down 60-70.
