Hi All,

My good buddy has a Regal Window Express and bought the boat to "cruise" around Erie.

He's recently discovered how insane the fishing is on Erie and wants to mount downriggers.

I looked for a "good" spot to put them and can't see one. Maybe the swim platform LOL.

Any advice? Anyone done this or know someone who has? Can't find anything online.

Thanks,
Paddy

Can you post a picture of the aft part of the boat?

I am sure something can be mocked up by any fab shop.

Have you considered just use it jet divers or walker deeper divers/dipsey divers? They work extremely well in place of down riggers when you just need to get your baits down and do t have riggers.

Thanks guys. He's been using dipsys and doing okay. But not crushing it like the guys with riggers. I guess we just need to dial in the depth a little better. I know we were fishing too low to begin with.

SDC I'll grab a pic next time I'm out with him.

thanks again.

I use a custom made holder that fit in a 30degree holder. So when I’m not fishing, I don’t have any permanent mount in the way. Look at the picture.
