I am seriously considering picking up a Garman Echomap with the Livescope system running the LVS32 transducer for ice fishing. I have been using a Lawrance with a traditional ice fishing transducer in flasher or amplitude scope mode and think that the Garmn Livescope would be a better system with real time images using the liveview forward and liveview down modes. If anyone is using this system I would love to hear your opinion on it.

I got the panoptics ps22 last year, not as much detail as that setup but the same views and it was amazing. You can see your jigs, even the smallest ones go down and each individual fish moving around. We would drill three holes 3 feet apart and one behind the middle hole for the panoptics when fishing for perch. Three of us would fish and you could watch everyone's lures go down and all of the fish interacting with them. After 100 fow it starts to get a little scattered from my experience, but it still has traditional sonar if you need it or want to use it. I got the Echomap 95sv and a separate panoptics ice package so I would have a transducer for my boat as well and a 9-inch screen instead of the stock 7 inch that comes with the whole kit. It was actually cheaper due to a sale then getting the full kit with the echomap 75sv. I have been loving it on the boat and on the ice.
