Ive been busy and haven't been able to get out fishing lately.
So a buddy and I decided to go for a few hours today before I had to work.
Launched at Queenston at first light and fished till 11:00.
I forgot my phone, so no pics. Sorry.
We ended up getting 10 smallies, no big bruzers. But a couple of the ones we got looked like they hadn't spawned yet. Very weird.
Cheers!

Hmmm. You'd think they'd be ahead of schedule with the early spring we had

Ya, but we also had some cool and cold weather in April and May.....some heavy frosty mornings can cool water down fast....

Anyhow, they don't always play by our rules..... or spawn all at the same time, water temps etc.

and that is most likely a very good thing in the long run.

True enough Shank. Two of the three that had yet to spawn were caught out at the Bar, or just off it.
Cheers!
