Another solo trip today and I should have stayed home!

Was on the water and fishing by 7:30 and then the fog came in. Real heavy. Thank goodness for GPS and compass or I would have been going in circles.

Started fishing in 40fow as I was marking a good number of fish in the 40-50fow range. Had one real good knock off around 8am--I was actually watching the rod and it snapped down, came back up and there was nothing there when I grabbed the rod. That was it.

I went as deep as 135 fow and worked all depths in between. Didn't mark much deep and when I came back to 40-50fow, there were a lot fewer marks than earlier in the day.

Tried Lymans, various spoons. flashers, cheaters--nothing worked.

Fog lifted around Noon and I quit at 1pm.

That's my story.
