Not sure where you live, but is has been below 0 every night for a while and is -12 right now. Should be making ice and this weeks forecast looks promising too. Obviously not safe ice yet, but making ice.

According to this picture it looks like all the kawartha's have skimmed over at least. Looks like there's snow on top now which is no good for making ice but this warm spell should take care of that anyways. https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov/?v=-80...-T05%3A34%3A26Z

Working on a cottage on Sturgeon Lake for the next 2 weeks and there’s a lot of open water. Still some ice out there but not safe at all and after today and tomorrow it’s gonna be a bit before it’s safe.

I was at Elmhirst Sunday - lots of snow on top - lots of wet spots in the middle.

Someone had been walking near shore on it.
