Fishing shows, on Rogers

I have never been a big fan of these shows but now that we have a PVR I thought I might have a look. We have Rogers Select but there are so many channels that it's a boondoggle to find anything. I understand that they once had WFN but then dropped it, but now WFN has changed it's name and re-branded. Any light you can shed? thx

Hey Knuguy, I'm on Shaw Direct so I don't know if the listings are any different depending on cable provider, although I don't think that matters, but on my channel it seems to be like 80% hunting programs and like 20% fishing, and I have noticed that a lot of the shows that used to be on WFN, like the FLW Tour, Zona's Awesome Fishing Show, A Fishing Story with Ronnie Green, Bass Fever, Bass Pro Shops Fisherman's Handbook, Big Bass Battle, Crappie Time, Fishing University, Fishing with Joe Bucher, and there were a hell of a lot more than that, but now all it seems to be is like In-Fisherman, Fish TV, Bob Izumi's Real Fishing and that's really it. It kind of sucks cause I myself watched every show that used to be on there, but lately I found I rarely watch it as I'm not into hunting and like I had said earlier, it's mainly hunting shows with he odd fishing show thrown in here and there. Me personally I find I don't watch it nearly as much as I had before when it was WFN. Hope this helps.

I have the Sportsman Channel too on Bell - used to beWFN. Now about 75% hunting. Sat mornings on Global there are a few of the Canadian shows each week. I just hunt thru the guide each week and select a few to tape on the Sportsman channel. Tons of repeats...

As far as i can tell from Google, Rogers does not carry the Sportsman Channel.

Hey Knuguy,

Channel 3 (Global) has fishing shows every Saturday morning from 8am - 10am. Fish'n Canada, Bob Izumi, Fishful Thinking & Fish TV. On CTS at 10:30am there is Canadian Sport Fishing (or at least used to be). Also Channel 53 seems to be the only channel that has Facts of Fishing. Which I think is Sunday morning at 9 or 9:30am. If you have internet you can stream most live events such as Major League Fishing. Also, on YouTube you can find a lot of episodes of the shows I mentioned but all the new episodes seem to be exclusive to extra channels.

I have Bell one channel is Wild TV which 80% hunting and the other is Sportsman Channel which is a fishing 1424 HD and 1419 HD hope this helps you out and they're on 24/7
